This page explains what information Capital BER Solutions collects when you visit this website or request a quote, what cookies we use, and the choices and rights you have. Last updated: 4 September 2026.
Who we are
Capital BER Solutions is an SEAI Registered BER Assessor based in Sutton, Dublin 13, providing Building Energy Rating assessments across Dublin and North Dublin. This policy covers the website at capitalbersolutions.ie and the quote enquiry form on it. For anything relating to this policy, you can reach us using the phone number in the header of this site, or through the quote form on our homepage.
Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us directly. When you submit our quote enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, Eircode and property type. This is sent to us via Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service, so that we can contact you about your enquiry.
- Information collected automatically. With your consent (see "Cookies we use" below), we use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors use this site and how effective our advertising is. This can include standard technical information such as your approximate location, device type, and how you interact with the site.
Cookies we use
When you first visit this site, a banner lets you accept or reject the cookie categories below. Only "Necessary" runs automatically — everything else only runs after you accept.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) helps us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. Only runs if you click "Accept All".
Advertising
Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) measures whether our ads led to a call, WhatsApp message or form submission, so we can tell which ads are actually working. Only runs if you click "Accept All".
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page, which reopens this choice.
One further embedded element on this site is not currently gated by this choice: our Google Reviews widget, provided by Elfsight, which loads on every page to display our customer reviews and may set its own cookies as part of doing so. We consider this core functionality of the page rather than analytics or advertising, on a legitimate-interest basis — see "Legal basis for processing" below. If you'd prefer this not to load, please contact us directly for an alternative way to view our reviews.
Legal basis for processing
- Quote form data — processed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), i.e. to respond to your enquiry.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — processed only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given or withdrawn via the cookie banner described above.
- Google Reviews widget — processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in displaying genuine customer feedback, balanced against your right to privacy.
Third parties we work with
- Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, for site analytics and ad measurement (subject to your cookie choice). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Web3Forms — processes and delivers quote form submissions to us by email. See Web3Forms' Privacy Policy.
- Elfsight — provides the Google Reviews widget shown on this site. See Elfsight's Privacy Policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you click our WhatsApp button, you'll be taken to WhatsApp in a new tab to send us a message. Any conversation you have there is governed by WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy, not this one.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep your data
We keep quote enquiry data for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and, where an assessment goes ahead, for as long as required to fulfil that engagement and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to the settings on our Google Analytics account, which follows Google's standard retention periods.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased, in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to how we process your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place before you withdrew it
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in "Who we are" above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Ireland's data protection supervisory authority, the Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new cookie or service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
